- Who Can Take These Electives?
All ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University students are welcome to enrol in Careerχ Xplorer Hub electives. These courses can be taken as:
- Discipline electives (within your program),
- Free electives (outside your core area), or
- Standalone credit-bearing or non-credit-bearing electives, depending on your academic plan and interests.
This flexibility allows you to personalise your learning pathway and enrich your academic experience across disciplines.
- Mode of Delivery
Careerχ Xplorer Hub electives are offered through multiple flexible delivery modes to suit your learning preferences:
- Face-to-face (onsite) for interactive, in-person engagement
- Blended learning combining online and classroom experiences
- Fully online courses for anytime, anywhere access
- MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) for self-paced learning
No matter your schedule or learning style, there's an option for you to explore and thrive.

- Assessment
All electives offered under the CareerX Xplorer Hub include assessments. Depending on the course design, assessments may be:
- 100% continuous assessment, or
- A combination of continuous and final assessments.
Students who choose to enrol under the Audit option (non-credit bearing) are not required to complete assessments.
- When Are These Electives Offered?
Electives may be offered in any of the three main semesters:
- January,
- April/May, and
- September/October.
However, the availability of each course may vary, so students are advised to refer to the course details for specific semester offerings.
Some electives may also be conducted:
- Outside of regular semester timelines (For example, as special experiential offerings, such as the International Cultural Exchange course, which includes a summer visit to Lancaster University)
- In the evening or on weekends (For example foreign language courses scheduled in the evening during regular semesters)
- How to Enrol?
Course enrolment will be conducted via iZone.
Please note that enrolment is subject to seat availability and follows a first come, first served basis.
