Overview
This is a fundamental subject where students are introduced to the basics of statistical analysis and information systems. This subject covers the role of information systems in making business decisions, descriptive statistics, probability, probability distributions, hypothesis testing techniques, and linear regression. This subject utilizes Microsoft Excel in analyzing the data based on basic business intelligence.
On completing the course, students will be able to:
- Examine the role of statistical analysis and information systems in business decision-making.
- Employ statistical concepts and its applications for data modelling and business decision-making.
- Analyze the appropriateness of various statistical inference techniques to propose relevant data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Excel to address business problems effectively.
