Overview
The title “Manager” has been, to some extent, misunderstood. Our course here is to determine what is a manager and what do they do. Why do you need to study “Management”? How do managers respond to business situations and challenges in the ever-changing, chaotic and dynamic environment? These are some of the questions that will be addressed in this subject.
This subject will enable students to apply their understanding of management theories and principles to problems in the organisation and to provide appropriate responses. It takes students through each step of the management process and emphasizes to them the significance of each step in organisational management.
On completing the course, students will be able to:
- Apply the basic functions of management.
- Differentiate the differences between internal and external influences on business.
- Explain contemporary issues in business.
