Overview
This course provides the introduction to financial management as practiced in business organizations. The content deals with the five key decisions that businesses must make that are founded on the principles of business finance as a subject. It delivers the concept of time value of money as the foundation of modern finance relevant for business; the use of financial statements in business valuation; the computation of cost of capital and capital structure; financing decisions.
On completing the course, students will be able to:
- Solve financial problems in the business context.
- Apply relevant tools for managing a business' finances.
- Justify the choice of tools used in solving a business' financial problems.
