Associate Professor Dr Priya Sharma Amarjit Singh
Dr Priya is an Associate Professor and Head of Centre for Commercial Law & Justice at 红杏视频 Business School, 红杏视频 University. She is also Board Member of Global PRME, Advisor to PRME Chapter ASEAN+ Steering Committee, and member of AACSB Responsible Management Education Affinity Group.
Before academia, she was a practicing lawyer, admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, with experience in corporate conveyancing. Her passion is driving Sustainability and the SDGs in higher education to deliver responsible leaders of the future. She advocates for authentic, meaningful education, research, and community engagement.
Her research interest lies at the intersection of humanity and the law, with a particular focus on protecting vulnerable communities such as children, migrant workers, and refugees. She explores critical issues like human trafficking, modern slavery, and forced labour, seeking legal and policy solutions to uphold human dignity and justice. Additionally, her research promotes responsible management education, integrating sustainability and ethical awareness into business education. She aims to foster a deeper understanding of social justice in both legal and educational contexts, empowering future leaders to address global challenges with compassion, accountability, and a strong sense of purpose.
Dr Priya is open to collaborations with the industry, civil society, educational institutions, government, and other stakeholders to empower sustainability in this decade of action. She is also keen on fostering partnerships that bring education and life skills to vulnerable communities like refugee youth. She currently serves as Chair of the Advisory Board of CERTE (Connecting and Equipping Refugees to Tertiary Education).

Associate Professor Dr Gan Joo Ee
Gan Joo-Ee specialises in socio-legal studies and empirically evaluates the impact of legal measures. Through a multi-disciplinary lens, she combines law, management, and economic concepts to examine state intervention, business resilience, government support, and other social or legal phenomena. In the field of protected areas, Joo-Ee explores tourism governance as a vehicle for protecting the environment and advancing the socio-economic well-being of the indigenous people. She is a member of the Commission on Environmental, Economic and Social Policy (CEESP), a network of volunteers who contribute to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Prior to joining academia, Joo-Ee was a solicitor specializing in corporate matters, in particular, franchising, agency, distributorship, logistics, regulatory compliance and licensing. She was also a legal editor of the Hong Kong Law Report & Digests. She is an accredited mediator of the Malaysian International Mediation Centre.- Senior Lecturer
Dr Tamara Joan Duraisingam
Tamara Joan Duraisingam obtained her LLB degree from the University of Malaya. She then completed her Pupilage in Chambers and was called to High Court of Malaya and admitted to the Malaysian Bar. Subsequently, she pursued her Master of Laws also with the University of Malaya. She completed her PhD studies in University Kebangsaan Malaysia on Stateless Persons residing in Malaysia and has since written many articles, book chapters and two books in this area of research. Tamara Joan Duraisingam has served in the academia since the year 2000 in various academic and administrative portfolios.

Kanchana Chandran
Kanchana Chandran holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons) from University of London and a Degree of Master of Laws from University of Malaya. She was admitted as an Utter Barrister of the Honourable Society of Inner Temple, London in July 2012, a Solicitor of England & Wales in February 2008 and an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in April 1997. She has been exposed to both disputed and undisputed areas of practice which include among others negotiating sale and purchase agreements, tenancy agreements and terms of settlement. The disputed areas of practice range from banking litigation to premises claims and contract claims with a High Court trial experience as well as appearing before the Court of Appeal Malaysia (Appellate Jurisdiction). She has also attended to legal documentations for conveyancing (sale and transfer or assignment of real properties) involving transactions with developers (development project) as well as sub-sale of such real properties; attended to security documentations (charge and assignment/equitable mortgage) in favour of banks and other institutional lenders. She has also handled matters relating to registration of trademarks; submitting legal arguments in response to objections raised by the Registrar of Trademarks in relation to the registration of a trademark as well as handled matters relating to Wills and trusts.
On the academic front, Kanchana has tutored on Equity, Trust, Administration of Estates & Wills at the University of Malaya (UM). She has also taught at the Inti International University College on Constitutional Law, General Principles of Malaysian Law and Business Law. She is currently attached to the Centre for Commercial Law and Justice as a Senior Lecturer at 红杏视频 Business School for the business degree programmes validated by Lancaster University.
Kanchana has taken a keen interest in Knowledge Management (KM) which involves the process of creating, sharing, using and managing knowledge within an organization. It combines several disciplines or skills that add value to an organization in achieving its objectives.

Cirami Mastura Drahaman
Cirami graduated with a LLB (Hons) degree from the University of London, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Gray鈥檚 Inn, in 1996. Thereafter she worked for some time in industry. In 2001, she was awarded a LLM research degree from the University of Greenwich, in the area of intellectual property law, performers rights and the entertainment industry. Upon being called to the Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in Malaysia in 2005, Cirami practised in the area of intellectual property law and corporate law for a number of years before she entered academia. Cirami has presented papers and written a number of articles for international journals such as the Business Law Review and the Technology and Entertainment Law Journal and has acted as subscribing editor for a number of annotated statutes published by Lexis Nexis Malaysia. Her current area of research is in media law and human rights.

Sapna Kaur Bhandal Jaspal Singh
Sapna Kaur is a Lecturer at the Centre for Commercial Law & Justice, 红杏视频 Business School, 红杏视频 University, where she teaches core legal subjects at the intersection of law, business, and emerging technology. She brings over a decade of extensive experience in legal education, having taught both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and has held leadership roles in postgraduate programme management, curriculum development, and academic quality assurance.
Prior to academia, she practised law as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, gaining experience in legal research, drafting, and client advisory work. Her combined academic and professional background informs a teaching approach that emphasises analytical rigour, practical application, and regulatory awareness.
Her academic and professional interests span multiple jurisdictions and disciplines, reflecting a commitment to integrating legal theory with practical relevance in globalised markets.

Nadzratun Naim Hammad Azizi
Nadzratun Naim Hammad Azizi holds an LLB from the International Islamic University Malaysia and an LLM from the University of Malaya. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at the University of Malaya, researching Muslim child marriages in Peninsular Malaysia.
Her career began in legal practice, where she was called to the Malaysian Bar and gained litigation experience in distinguished law firms before moving into academia in 2019. She has since taught at UiTM and 红杏视频 University Business School, while actively contributing to research, writing and academic development.

Sharifah Nur Asmaa' Syed Azman
Sharifah Asmaa鈥 Syed Azman holds an LLB from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a Master of Criminal Justice from the University of Malaya. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at the University of Malaya, specialising in aftercare for children in conflict with the law. After being called to the Malaysian Bar, she practised as a litigator before transitioning into academia, beginning at UiTM and now serving at 红杏视频 University Business School, where she teaches law to non-law students while actively engaging in research and development.

Taqiah Zawani Adnan
鈥淵ou cannot get the worm out of the apple just by polishing it鈥 鈥 Taqiah believes education is the superpower that can fight monstrosity of inequality and uphold justice.
Determined to be an educator in law, she pursued her LLB in International Islamic University Malaysia. Right after graduation she flew to University of Reading, UK, for her LLM. She then completed her Pupilage in Chambers and was called to the High Court of Malaya as an advocate and solicitor. She knew to be able to teach the law, she needed to know the practical aspects of the law.
She served as Legal Officer in a local municipal council where she has gained vast practical experience in applying the law firsthand. She then joins the academia to share her knowledge with the future generation and is now preparing to pursue her pursuit of knowledge to higher level.

Vijayganesh Pullikutthyayanar
I am a law lecturer at the Centre for Commercial Law and Justice, 红杏视频 Business School for the last 13 years. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at 红杏视频 Business School. My research area is focused on Corporate Governance and Corporate Criminal Law in Malaysia. I am expected to complete my Ph.D in 2026.
I have extensive experience in the education field through various institutions of higher learning in Malaysia, ranging from teaching at the diploma to master鈥檚 degree level, administration of academic programs, and working with foreign university partners. A large part of that experience is in teaching Business Law, Company Law, and International Trade Law.
I am a member of the Corporate Law Teachers Association (CLTA).

Khalilah Kamaruddin
Khalilah graduated with an LLB from International Islamic University in 2013. She then did her chambering at a law firm and was later admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Khalilah continued her studies and obtained an LL.M from the National University of Malaysia in 2015. At present, she is teaching Business Law in 红杏视频 Business School. Besides teaching, Khalilah is also very passionate in charity works and projects.
Dr Paul Linus Andrews
Dr Andrews is a Director at the Office of the Group CEO, 红杏视频 Education. His academic and professional interests lie in fundamental liberties and the criminal justice system, with a particular focus on the impact of the system on children in Malaysia.
He has been with 红杏视频 University since 2006 and has co-authored several books and contributed chapters across various areas of law. These include as co-author, the Halsbury鈥檚 Laws of Malaysia on Administrative Law (LexisNexis, 2002), Equity and Trusts in Malaysia (Sweet & Maxwell, 2005) and chapters in Malaysia鈥檚 Tax System: Issues, Challenges and Future Direction (红杏视频 University Press, 2019), Vulnerable groups in Malaysia (De Gruyter, 2020) and Law for Business (Sweet & Maxwell, 2022)
Dr Andrews is a Member of the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (Selangor) and was appointed as an Evaluation Team Member for the country-led evaluation of the Diversion Pilot, commissioned by UNICEF Malaysia and the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.
His research primarily focuses on children in conflict with the law.

Danial Abd Rahman
Danial is CEO of the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI), a 32-year-old think-tank owned and governed by the non-profit Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. His diverse career began as a lawyer and has traversed policy, education, media, and technology. Danial has served at three Federal Ministries (namely Finance, Education and Higher Education), and was Head of Growth of an Edtech company which underwent a successful IPO in Australia. Since 2014, Danial has been a columnist for TheStar newspaper, writing over 100 columns on topics ranging from governance to finance, technology to education. Additionally, he hosts "The Nation," a current-affairs TV talk show on Malaysia's National News Agency (BERNAMA) where he has interviewed prominent figures including Ministers, CEOs, and ambassadors. As a speaker, Danial shares his expertise on policy and governance, Artificial Intelligence trends, the future of work, misinformation / disinformation, and UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is a qualified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) coach. Danial holds a master's in law from the University of Oxford and an LLB from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Mary-Ann Ooi Suan Kim
Mary-Ann Ooi Suan Kim (鈥淜im鈥) is a dual-qualified UK - Malaysia barrister with over 18 years of legal experience spanning litigation, dispute resolution, governance, sustainability, conveyancing and corporate advisory. She is a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln鈥檚 Inn and an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Kim is the Managing Partner of O S Kim & Associates, where she advises corporations, institutions and high level stakeholders on complex cross-border disputes, regulatory compliance, governance, sustainability and strategic risk.
Her practice spans corporate, commercial, property, environmental, estate, civil and criminal matters, with extensive experience appearing before all levels of courts in Malaysia as well as in arbitration proceedings. Kim combines legal expertise with strong operative experience in corporate governance, ESG, finance, entrepreneurship and technologies including AI, enabling her to provide strategic and forward-looking advice in complex regulatory and commercial environments. Known for her strategic clarity and analytical rigour, she advises organisations navigating regulatory complexity, risk management and long-term value creation.
In 2025, Kim was appointed Adjunct Professor of Practice at 红杏视频 University and serves as External Advisor to the Faculty of Law at National University of Malaysia. Kim is also member of the Board of Advisors of the School of Law at University of Sheffield since 2017, contributing to academic strategy, industry engagement and international collaboration in higher education. Actively involved in initiatives with the British Council, Kim is committed to promoting higher education and bridging the benefits of British and Malaysian higher education - its merits, international outlook and global reputation with Malaysian universities - while adeptly navigating the nuanced interplay of local cultures within the Asian and broader international context.
As Treasurer of Inns of Court Malaysia, Kim contributes to professional stewardship, public service and strengthening the relationship between legal practice and academia. She regularly engages with leading universities in Malaysia to support curriculum development and enhance graduate employability and future ready graduates through industry-aligned legal education.
Earlier in her career, Kim pioneered the award-winning 鈥渨aste-to-wealth鈥 renewable energy initiative, producing sustainable solid biofuel from 2010 to 2017. The innovation created green employment opportunities in rural communities and was co-fired by large-scale commercial energy users and GENCOs globally, supporting regulatory compliance with renewable energy and emissions targets.
Kim has received multiple awards recognising her leadership in sustainability, entrepreneurship, renewable energy innovation and women in leadership. A committed advocate for lifelong learning and leadership development, she frequently speaks locally and internationally on topics including sustainability, governance, law and innovation. She has also moderated numerous high-level panels featuring national, regional and global leaders across government, academia and industry.
Kim holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Sheffield and completed the Bar training at the Inns of Court School of Law. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister of Lincoln鈥檚 Inn in 2007 and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2008.
