The School of Mathematical Sciences, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University, recently held A Special Grant Writing Workshop, designed to equip academics with the essential skills to develop competitive research proposals. This initiative underscores our commitment to nurturing impactful research and enhancing opportunities for securing external funding.

The workshop featured interactive sessions and practical strategies, offering participants a strong foundation in crafting successful grant applications. A highlight of the event was the sharing by our World Top 2% Scientist, Prof. Teo Kok Lay, whose expertise in securing and managing research grants provided participants with invaluable perspectives. Prof. Teo emphasised clarity in articulating research ideas, aligning proposals with funding priorities, and demonstrating broader impact—insights that resonated strongly with attendees.

We also applaud the enthusiasm and active participation of our Early Career Researchers, who engaged deeply in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed to the collaborative learning environment. Their dedication reflects the vibrant research culture we continue to cultivate within the school.

This workshop marks another step forward in empowering our academic community to achieve research excellence, expand collaborations, and make meaningful contributions to society.
