As a graduate of ������Ƶ Business School, Mohamed Salman Faiz has first-hand experience of ������Ƶ University’s programme, designed specifically to prepare students for the fast-moving business world.

“I have experienced how the programme acts as a platform to leverage various learning opportunities. Besides the regular class activities, we were exposed to workshops and seminars led by industry professionals.” Additionally, Salman’s internship exposed him to the working world, which he views as an important learning experience.

Salman described the marketing field as “constantly evolving” when asked about it. He believes ������Ƶ University prepares students for this, as the programme is constantly growing and moving forward. Lecturers push students to think outside the box and look at the ‘big picture’.

According to Salman, the academic and management staff of ������Ƶ Business School are supportive and thoughtful. Lecturers are readily available for quick discussions on academic or general matters. Despite the challenges posed by the unprecedented period of COVID-19, classes were smoothly conducted online due to the staff’s competency. 

“One individual, Dr Evelyn Toh Bee Hwa, has been my mentor since I enrolled in this course. Her exposure to research has sparked my interest to pursue further studies!”

However, the ������Ƶ University experience is not limited to academics. Salman is also a strong advocate for extracurricular activities. “Engaging in extracurricular activities provided me with valuable networking opportunities, allowing me to gain diverse perspectives on problem-solving and execution strategies from other students.”

“I have been a ������Ƶ student since 2017, starting with the Foundation in Arts programme, and I have witnessed numerous positive improvements aimed at enhancing the educational journey for students. Alongside my perseverance, the ������Ƶ branding opened up a great opportunity for me to become a Maybank Student Ambassador in 2021.” In sum, Salman is grateful for his time at ������Ƶ University and truly believes that it played an indispensable role in his success.
