His work focuses on responsible management education, social business, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, with particular emphasis on how universities can translate sustainability commitments into meaningful learning, research, and impact. He leads strategic partnerships and capacity-building initiatives, supports collaborative projects across ASEAN+ and international networks, and mentors colleagues and early-career researchers to turn teaching and engagement into publishable scholarship.
- Senior Lecturer
Dr Marc Arul Weissmann
Prior to joining ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University, Dr Marc was a research assistant at Swinburne University and served time in the Singapore Police Force holding the Senior Officer rank of 'Inspector'. He has since developed a passion in research for understanding the everyday consumption decisions people make, the impact those decisions have on the environment, the economy, our society, and the ways in which we may alter our behavioural action and cognitive perception to become more sustainable. His passion has driven him to explore this field of research and expand societal understanding of responsible consumption habits to better cater to fulfilling our obligations under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His work has been published in reputable A/B journals in the field.
Outside of academia, he has been actively involved in leadership development and mentoring programs to empower youth. He incorporates these methods and tools into the classroom setting to develop a holistic approach to his teaching. Dr Marc believe that to simply tell is to forget, and to teach is not a guarantee that things will be remembered—instead learning and personal growth starts with involvement.
