Biography
Dr Rodney Toh is a Principal Teaching Fellow in the Department of Management and a specialist in Business Ethics, recognized for over a decade of exemplary teaching, research, and academic leadership. A quantitative researcher, he focuses on empirical studies of ethical leadership, moral reasoning, and responsible management, using data-driven insights to understand how ethics influences behavior in organizations.
Dr Toh holds a PhD from ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, an MBA from Victoria University, and is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK). He is the author of several textbooks which have become essential references.
His research has been published in top Scopus-indexed journals including Education and Information Technologies, Corporate Communications: An International Journal, and Business Perspectives and Research. In addition, his thought-provoking practise-orientated articles appear in CMI Knowledge & Insights, The Edge, and The Malay Mail, where he explores ethical issues facing modern leaders.
An accomplished supervisor and mentor, Dr Toh proven track-records include supervising numerous master’s and doctoral students to successful completion, supervising research on topics such as servant leadership, Machiavellian leadership, emotional intelligence, and ethical decision-making. Through his teaching, writing, and supervisorship, he continues to inspire his students to pursue excellence grounded in ideals of autodidact, pursuing excellence, and being responsible.
