Caroline Yap Yu Li is a dedicated educator passionate about fostering students’ academic growth and driving innovation in higher education. A Principal Teaching Fellow in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Business School, she enhances the student learning journey by integrating technology and evidence-informed teaching practices into her classes. She received ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2019, recognising her commitment to delivering meaningful and high-quality learning experiences.

Caroline has been with ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Business School since 2009 and has held key leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Accounting and Director of Undergraduate Studies. She has also contributed to university-wide academic development through secondments, including a 1.5-year secondment to the Academic Enhancement Division (now the Centre for Academic Development). Most recently, in 2025, she was seconded to the Chancellery Office as Senior Manager for Education Transformation, reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education, Employability and Alumni), and has since returned to ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Business School in her academic role.

Caroline holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from the University of Hertfordshire and a Master’s in Education from the University of Malaya. She is also a Certified Officer in Quality Assurance in Higher Education (Tier 1 & Tier 2) awarded by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), reflecting her strong expertise in academic quality and institutional excellence. As a Senior Fellow of Advance HE, she remains actively engaged in facilitating continuing professional development workshops for colleagues.
