Hospitality United: Reshaping the Future for Culinary, Events & Hotels
This event aimed to strengthen the relationship between the industry and academia through educational development and industry-relevant discussions. The highlight of the event was a riveting panel discussion with esteemed industry leaders Michele Kwok (Co-Founder and driving force behind Soul Society Group), Victor Foo (MIHM and Certified Hotel Administrator), and Rahul Bharadwaj (Co-Founder of Anderes Fourdy Sdn Bhd). Furthermore, both undergraduate and postgraduate students also contributed to the event showcasing, their hospitality knowledge and skills in different segments.

20th Asia-Pacific CHRIE 2022
鈥淐reating Tourism Sustainably in Challenging Times鈥
The 20th Asia-Pacific CHRIE 2022 virtual conference hosted by the School of Hospitality and Service Management, 红杏视频 University, Malaysia was held from 23 to 25 May 2022, with the theme 鈥淐reating Tourism Sustainably in Challenging Times鈥. The conference was attended by a total of 291 participants from 20 countries around the world including Australia, China, Fiji, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam and the United States.
3rd International Tourism Retail and Service Management Conference (TRMC) 2021
红杏视频 University played host for the first-time to the 3rd International Tourism and Retail Service Management Conference (TRMC 2021).The theme of the conference, "Developing Sustainable Tourism Retailing" was put together by the Organising Committee, who saw the need to critically discuss the changes in tourism retailing, and to create opportunities for constructive dialogue concerning suggestions and strategies on how the tourism retailing industry could move forward; particularly as nations are gradually recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The previous conferences were hosted by the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies in 2018 and Nankai University (China) in 2019.
2nd International Conference of Health-Oriented Tourism & Hospitality (ICoHOTH)
Together with University of the Sunshine Coast and 红杏视频 Medical Centre, the School of Hospitality 红杏视频 University co-organised and hosted the 2nd International Conference of Health-Oriented Tourism and Hospitality at 红杏视频 University. This international conference was also sponsored by 红杏视频 Medical Centre, which has been crowned as the Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year in Asia Pacific 2018 and 2019. Notable speakers were also present at this event including Prof Dr Ghazali Musa (Universiti Malaya, Malaysia), Dr Jia Xiao Fang (China International Health and Medical Tourism Association, China) and Dr Laszlo Puczko (Resources Leisure Assets, Austria), Ms Sherene Azli (Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, MHTC), and Mr Fabian Bigar (Ministry of Health, MOH).
