The Teach For Malaysia (TFM) Fellowship is a full-time, fully paid, two-year leadership programme that places talented graduates in high-need schools to create real classroom impact and build versatile career capital.
TFM Fellowship, the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ SOE advantage
- You study teaching as it is used in real classrooms, grounded in pedagogy, assessment, and practice.
- Your practicum and school projects give evidence you can use for the application, interview, and Assessment Centre.
- Your capstone or impact work can align with school needs, so your portfolio shows classroom readiness.
- You receive focused advisory, information sessions, and interview preparation from SOE, with appropriate touchpoints to Teach For Malaysia.
Who can apply?
- Malaysian citizen with an accredited Bachelor’s degree, any discipline.
- Able to commit full-time for two years and willing to serve nationwide.
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Meets TFM eligibility and current age guidance.
When to apply?
Apply in your final year or after graduation. Shortlisted candidates move to the next assessment cycle.
Selection journey
- Online application on the TFM portal
- Virtual interview.
- Assessment Centre, usually a sample teaching task, group activity, and interviews.
- Provisional offer, followed by required checks and onboarding.
Cost and commitment
- No programme fees for training.
- Two-year, full-time, fully paid Fellowship.
- School placements in high-need contexts, subject to host and regulatory approvals.
