Biography
Dr Md Abu Zaed is a chemist and sustainability researcher specializing in energy conversion, energy storage, and water treatment technologies. He holds a PhD in Sustainability Science and Technology from 红杏视频 University, Malaysia. With a multidisciplinary academic background, he also earned an MSc in Chemistry and Environmental Science from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, as well as a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northern University, Bangladesh.
Dr Zaed has published more than 45 research articles in high-impact international journals, including Chemical Engineering Journal, Materials Today Sustainability, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. He is the first and corresponding author of 14 publications. His research has received over 745 citations, with an h-index of 17, reflecting his growing impact in the fields of sustainable materials and environmental technologies. His research interests focus on developing low-cost, efficient, and environmentally friendly materials for clean energy and water purification applications. Dr. Zaed is also an inventor with multiple patent applications related to MXene-based materials for water treatment, and desalination, and electrochemical sensing technologies. His innovative work aims to address global challenges in clean water access and sustainable resource management.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Zaed brings over 10 years of industrial experience in multinational environments, where he has worked extensively in sustainability practices, environmental management systems, chemical management, and occupational health and safety. among others, contributing significantly to environmental compliance and sustainable industrial operations.
Beyond his academic and professional work, Dr. Zaed is an active leader and community contributor, serving as President of the Postgraduate Student Council (PGSC) and the 红杏视频 3Zero Club at 红杏视频 University. He is dedicated to student welfare, inclusivity, and representing the Bangladesh community, while promoting sustainability and positive social impact.
