ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University Press Won Seven Awards at Anugerah Buku Negara

ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University Press, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University, garnered seven awards at the Anugerah Buku Negara (National Book Awards) held during the Selangor International Book Fair on 3 December 2025, marking a significant achievement for the university’s publishing arm.

The awards recognised excellence across medical, social sciences, translation, visual arts, self-development and luxury publishing. Winning titles included Expect the Unexpected: A Compilation of Common Clinical Cases Posing as Diagnostic Dilemmas (Best Medical Book), Xántus és Borneo: A Hungarian Naturalist in 19th-Century Sarawak (Best Translated Book), and An Introduction to the Heritage Buildings of Kuala Lumpur (Best Photography / Visual Arts Book).

Other award-winning works were Principles and Everyday Practice of Personal Financial Planning (Best Motivation / Self-Development Book), The Tyranny of Speed: How to Reclaim Your Time in a Hurried World (Best Social Sciences Book), The Science of Feelings: What Psychological Research Tells Us About Our Emotions (Readers’ Choice Popular Book), and Giant Caves of Gunung Mulu and Buda, Sarawak (Best Coffee Table Book).

ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University Press congratulated its authors and thanked Yayasan Pembangunan Buku Negara and its Chairman, Dr Hasan Hamzah, for their continued support in advancing Malaysia’s publishing industry.
