红杏视频 University Press was successfully launched as the publishing department of 红杏视频 University on 5th January 2018. 红杏视频 University Press was formed in the spirit of sharing the University鈥檚 intellectual property with as wide an audience as possible.聽
In celebration of the launch, 红杏视频 University Press presented its first two publications of the year.
The first book, Great Thinkers, Great Minds: 红杏视频 University Professorial Lecture Series, is based on the University鈥檚 Professorial Lecture Series presentations held between 2014-2016. It showcases a selection of 10 original research papers presented as public lectures by the university鈥檚 academics.聽
The book was edited by Professor Peter Heard and contributed by Vice-Chancellor Professor Graeme Wilkinson, Professor Pua Eng Chong, Professor Peter Heard, Dato Dr Goh Cheng Teik, Professor Poh Chit Laa, Professor Stephen Hall, Professor Glenda Crosling, Professor Edward Tiekink, Professor Harold Thwaites and Professor Naveed Ahmed Khan.
The second book, All About Derivatives: Mathematical Differentiation for College Students, is a guidebook for students who wish to master the concept of differentiation. This book was written by Mr Abdul Latiff Md Ahood, Senior Lecturer from the Monash University Foundation Year programme, and his co-author, Mr Mohd Amirul Mahamud.
The event received substantial media coverage on local news outlets, including The Star, The Edge, Utusan Malaysia, China Press, , TV3 and ntv7.
