Overview

The ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Psychology and Counselling Centre (SPCC), located within the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences (FMLS) at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, is dedicated to providing exemplary, evidence-based psychological services that empower individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. SPCC is committed to becoming a national leader in applied psychology, where research and clinical practice intersect to offer compassionate and professional care.  

We provide a broad range of services, including individual and group counselling, therapy for children and adolescents, career counselling, psychological assessments, and couple and family therapy. These services are delivered by licensed professionals and master’s-level trainees, guided by clinical and academic supervisors to ensure a high standard of care.s.  

In addition to our clinical services, SPCC serves as a premier training ground for students enrolled in the Masters in Counselling and Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis programs. The Centre offers students invaluable academic insights and practical experience, fostering the development of future professionals in the field of psychology. This dual mission of service provision and professional training strengthens SPCC's contribution to both the well-being of the community and the advancement of the psychology field in Malaysia. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Therapy Services

At the SPCC Centre, we offer a wide range of counselling and psychological services designed to support individuals, couples, and families in overcoming various mental health challenges. Below is an overview of the services we offer:  

  1. Individual Counselling
    One-on-one sessions that provide a safe space for exploring personal challenges and developing coping strategies.  
  2. Group Counselling
    Facilitated group sessions where individuals can share experiences and support one another in a collective, guided environment.  
  3. Child and Adolescent Counselling
    Specialized counselling for younger individuals, focusing on emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns.  
  4. Career Counselling
    Guidance on career exploration, decision-making, and addressing work-related stressors or career transitions.  
  5. Psychological Assessments
    Comprehensive evaluations designed to assess mental health, cognitive function, and emotional wellbeing to inform treatment plans.  
  6. Couple/Marriage Counselling
    Helping couples navigate relationship challenges, improve communication, and strengthen their connection.  
  7. Family Counselling
    Support for families dealing with conflicts, changes, or transitions, aimed at improving dynamics and fostering understanding.  
  8. Cognitive and Behavioural Interventions
