Biography

Dr Numan Arshid is Professor and Head of ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Center for Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology (SCEEST), School of Engineering and Technology, ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, Malaysia. He has 8 years of research and teaching experience. His research is focused on developing 2D heterostructure nanomaterials for electrochemical energy storage and sensor applications. Dr Numan has published over 180 high-impact research articles, edited 4 books and filed 8 patents. He was awarded the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University Early Career Researcher Award for his excellence in research. He is also listed in World’s Top 2% Scientist in Energy & Materials by Stanford University, USA - Elsevier from 2021-2025. He is honoured with Rising Star Award and recognized as Best Engineering and Technology Scientist in Malaysia by Research.com and is ranked among the top 1-2% of global researchers in Energy Storage and Material Sciences by ScholarGPS Ranking Analytics 2024. He is the editor of Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), EcoMat (Wiley), and Eurasian Chemico Technological Journal.
