Biography

Associate Professor Dr Kow Ken Siong graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2002, receiving a Gold Medal in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He gained valuable clinical experience while working under the Ministry of Health, where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his leadership as the Head of the Department of Medicine at Kajang Hospital in 2011.

Dr Kow achieved his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2008 and completed his fellowship in Respiratory Medicine in 2015. He served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Malaya until 2018, after which he joined ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Medical Centre as a resident Consultant Pulmonologist, a role he continues to hold.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr Kow actively participates in international clinical trials focused on novel lung cancer therapeutics. He is also involved in clinical research led by his peers at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Medical Centre. Since 2024, Dr Kow has been appointed as a Clinical Associate Professor in Respiratory Medicine at the Sir Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine.

Dr Kow was awarded the Certificate for Excellence in Clinical Research by ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Medical Centre in 2024. His current research interests include lung cancer, asthma, COPD, and infectious respiratory diseases, and he continues to contribute to Phase III clinical trials in these areas.
