Biography
Dr Komal Masroor is currently a Lecturer in the School of Engineering and Technology at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, Malaysia. She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia, specializing in Visible Light Communication (VLC), Body Area Networks, and Optical Wireless Systems for Remote Patient Monitoring.
Dr Masroor brings over fifteen years of academic and research experience in the domains of telecommunications, signal processing, and communication systems. Prior to joining ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, she served as an Assistant Professor at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan, where she contributed to both teaching and curriculum development in courses such as Digital Image Processing, Communication Systems, and Digital Logic Design.
Her research interests encompass optical wireless communication, human body communication, computer vision, and deep learning-based biomedical signal analysis. Dr. Masroor has published extensively in reputable international journals and conferences, including IEEE Access, Cognitive Neurodynamics, and the IEEE Sensors Journal.
Her current work focuses on the design of intelligent, energy-efficient, and health-oriented communication systems, integrating engineering innovation with applications in digital healthcare and human–machine interaction.
