Biography

Noorul Fadzlee Khamis is an architect and educator with a deep interest in design pedagogy, spatial thinking, and the evolving relationship between academic learning and architectural practice. He graduated from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, and has been actively involved in both teaching and professional practice since 2013.

Over the years, Fadzlee has taught at several institutions across Malaysia. He began as a part-time design tutor at Taylor鈥檚 University before moving into a more senior academic role at SEGi University, where he served as Senior Lecturer and Head of the Design Stream. He is currently based at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, 红杏视频 University, where he teaches in the Department of Architecture under the School of Architecture and Design. His academic focus lies in studio-based learning, critical design thinking, and contextualizing architectural education within local and regional frameworks.

His teaching philosophy bridges real-world architectural practice with academic studio culture, encouraging students to think critically and design with intention. Alongside his academic responsibilities, Fadzlee remains engaged with the professional architecture community. He is a registered Graduate Architect with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), a Certified Professional Technologist with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and currently serves as a Panel Assessor for the Board of Architects Malaysia's (LAM) Part I and II portfolio reviews. He also runs his own experimental design practice, Shapeshifts Studio.
