Biography
Fakhul Zaman is a Licensed Professional Interior Designer (IDr) registered with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), bringing nearly three decades of experience in interior design, project management, and education. He currently serves as a Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) since 2024, contributing actively to the advancement and governance of the profession in Malaysia.
Throughout his distinguished career, Fakhul has held leadership and academic roles ranging from Managing Director to Senior Lecturer and External Examiner, reflecting his versatility and deep commitment to the growth of both professional practice and design education.
With extensive expertise in project design, coordination, and construction management, he is recognized for his dedication to efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in every project he undertakes. His two decades of teaching experience further enhance his ability to bridge the gap between industry and academia. As an educator, Fakhul integrates real-world insights into his teaching, nurturing future designers with a practical, strategic, and forward-thinking mindset.

- His expertise spans project design, coordination, and construction management, where he is recognized for his focus on efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. With over two decades in academia, Fakhul integrates industry insights into teaching, cultivating future designers who approach their work with strategic, practical, and creative perspectives.
- As a Council Member of MIID, Fakhul leads the team behind the MIID Reka Session & Reka Workshop (RS/RW) series — a national platform that inspires, educates, and connects interior designers through curated talks, workshops, and panel discussions. In 2025, his team successfully organized five sessions featuring leading and emerging voices in the field.
- He also serves as a committee member for the MIID Reka Design Week 2025, held from 25 October to 9 November across venues including Pavilion Damansara Heights and ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, further underscoring his commitment to advancing Malaysia’s interior design community through collaboration and continuous learning.
