Dr Haizum Hanim Binti Ab Halim is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University with expertise in Smart Metering Applications, Sustainable Energy, and Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS). She earned her PhD in Electrical Power Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, her Master of Technical Education in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Industrial Electronics Engineering.
Her research focuses on energy efficiency and smart grid technologies, with notable projects including the construction of a Smart Energy Meter with adaptive communication data transfer algorithm for electrical energy monitoring, and the application of Building Energy Management Systems for Net-Zero Buildings. She has contributed to academic publications and conferences, and her work has been recognized with the Bronze Award at the Engineering Innovation Exhibition 2023 (UPM) for her smart energy meter innovation, supported under the Grant Putra UPM (GP-IPS/2016/9494100).
Before joining ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, Dr Haizum Hanim was a Lecturer and Researcher at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Engineering, where she was actively involved in teaching, research, and faculty management. Her teaching covered a wide range of modules, including Power Electronics, Artificial Intelligence in Power Systems, Final Year Projects, Integrated Design Projects, Research Methodology, and Mathematics for Computing.
Through her academic and professional contributions, Dr Haizum Hanim has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and innovative technologies in support of net-zero energy building initiatives.
