Associate Professor Dr. Ambedkar Balraj is with the Department of Chemical Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai. He earned his PhD from IIT Madras, receiving the Springer Outstanding Thesis Award, and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Kentucky on enzyme-catalyzed COâ‚‚ capture. His research focuses on carbon capture and utilization, process intensification using megasonics, microwaves, and vacuum regeneration, leading to several granted patents. Widely published and cited over 900 times, he has secured major research grants and supervised PhD scholars. A recipient of multiple Best Teacher Awards, he is recognized for advancing sustainable energy solutions.
