Hema Mahadevan is a Public Engagement Campaigner leading Greenpeace’s plastics campaign. She works on addressing issues such as plastic lifestyle and consumption, plastic waste trade, and the Global Plastics Treaty. Hema is currently executing a campaign targeting the food and beverage industry—including eateries and schools—to eliminate single-use plastics and promote a culture of reuse and refill. Her talk discussed topics such as plastic consumption and lifestyle, plastic waste trade, and the Global Plastics Treaty.
