Assoc. Prof. Dr. Xiaobin Gu received his PhD degree from Peking University. Currently, he is a principal investigator at the Guangzhou Institutes of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as affiliated with the Qinghai Institute of Salt Lakes. His research interests include mineral-based functional materials and phase change materials for thermal energy storage, renewable energy, biochar, and interfacial solar vapor generation for water treatment. His expertise falls in various disciplines, such as mineralogy, thermochemistry, materials chemistry, and inorganic chemistry, which establishes his research profile at h-index 19 and 877 citations.
