Biography

Dr. Wong Pei Lou holds a Ph.D. in Food Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where her research centered on the metabolomics-based chemical profiling of medicinal plants for antidiabetic applications. She further advanced this line of research on natural product innovation for antidiabetic therapies during her postdoctoral tenure at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her core expertise lies in metabolomics, natural product pharmacology, and functional food research, leveraging advanced analytical platforms. Her current research interests include bioactive metabolite identification, phytochemical fingerprinting, and multivariate data analysis for biomarker discovery, targeting metabolic disease intervention to drive translational outcomes in nutraceutical and therapeutic development.
