Exploring Quiet Quitting Among Generation Z

Exploring Quiet Quitting Among Generation Z

Project Description
This project explores the phenomenon of "quiet quitting," a growing trend where employees disengage from their work, fulfilling only the minimum job requirements and avoiding tasks beyond their basic roles, which adversely impacts organisational productivity over time. This research will specifically focus on Generation Z in Malaysia, examining their motivations, experiences, and broader implications for organisations. Born between the late 1990s and early 2010s, Generation Z is entering the workforce amidst significant economic, technological, and social changes, which significantly influence their work attitudes and behaviours. This study aims to uncover the factors driving this demographic towards quiet quitting, with the goal of providing strategic recommendations to address and mitigate this issue effectively.
