Overview

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University’s Diploma in Nursing is a comprehensive three-year programme designed to nurture students into competent, compassionate, and skilled nursing professionals. Integrating both conventional education and modern technological advancements, the programme equips students with strong foundational knowledge in nursing sciences, anatomy and physiology, communication, counselling, and clinical care.

The curriculum emphasizes holistic patient care, preparing students to deliver safe and quality nursing interventions across various healthcare settings. Students will develop essential clinical skills in caring, nurturing, and counselling, while also gaining the ability to make informed decisions from a healthcare perspective.

The programme combines theory with extensive practical assessments conducted each semester to ensure clinical competence and academic excellence. Upon successful completion, graduates will receive the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University Diploma in Nursing and the Nursing Board of Malaysia Registration Certificate, provided they pass the licensure examination.

The structured academic and clinical progression also allows for further educational advancement, such as Post-Basic Specialisation, Bachelor's Degrees in Nursing, and Postgraduate Nursing Education.

Entry Requirements

For Malaysian Candidates:

Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with five (5) credits:

Mandatory credit in:

  1. Bahasa Melayu
  2. English
  3. Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern)

Either one(1) of the credit below

  1. Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science

    AND

  2. Credit in one(1) other subjects
For International Candidates:

Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with five (5) subjects (minimum Gred C):

  1. Credit in mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern)  

AND

Either one (1) of the credits below:

  1. Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science

AND

Credit in three (3) other subjects

AND  

  1. A pass in International English Language Testing System(IELTS) with an overall band score of minimum 5.5

OR

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

  1. TOEFL Paper Based Test (TOEFL PBT) a minimum score of 515
  2. TOEFL Computer Based Test (TOEFL CBT) a minimum score of 215
  3. TOEFL Internet Based Test (TOEFL iBT) a minimum score of 80
  4. Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
  5. Cambridge Proficiency English (CPE)
  6. Pearson Test of English (PTE) 
Candidates Health Status:
  1. All candidates MUST be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within ONE MONTH from commencement of the nursing programme.
  2. A person with any of the following shall be disqualified from entry into a nursing program.
    1. Serious physical or mental illness, and/or
    2. Serious communicable disease
  3. Candidates MUST not have any physicals disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity.

  • Any other equivalent qualifications*
  • Applicant with no standard qualification will be considered on a case-to-case basis

*EQUIVALENT - refers to the overseas academic qualification obtained that is equivalent to SPM as approved by MQA
