Biography

Muhammad Mukhtar Qureshi is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, Malaysia. With over 18 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience, he has contributed significantly to higher education in Pakistan and Malaysia. Before joining ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ, he served as Assistant Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Computer Science at Iqra University, Islamabad, and held faculty positions at The University of Faisalabad, NCBA&E, and The University of Lahore.
Mukhtar Qureshi completed his PhD work in Computer Science from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, specializing in mobility management and handover optimization for 5G/6G networks. He also holds an MS  in Computer Science from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University.


His research focuses on computer networks, wireless body and vehicular networks, artificial intelligence in communications, and reinforcement learning–based optimization models. He has published in leading journals such as IEEE Access, Applied Sciences, Ain Shams Engineering Journal, Scientific Reports, and Springer LNCS.


In addition to research, he has supervised MS theses and BS projects in advanced computing domains and contributed to curriculum design and accreditation. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, computational thinking, and practical engagement, preparing graduates to excel in the evolving digital landscape.
