Biography
Professor Liew has been working in the field of distributed computing for over 25 years. Before joining ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ University, he served at Universiti Malaya, where he founded and led the UM Data Intensive Computing Centre from 2015 to 2025. The Centre supports the adoption of data-intensive computing technologies to drive advancements in scientific discovery.
Professor Liew’s research interests focus on scientific workflows, particularly in digital health. He currently serves as the Chair of the Technical Committee of the Malaysian Open Science Platform, a member of the National HPC Task Force under MOSTI, and a visiting scientist at Cancer Research Malaysia.
