Overview
The Master in Advanced Computing programme provides advanced training and knowledge in key areas of computing. It offers a profound and in-depth education across software engineering, computer science, and cybersecurity, guiding students to design a learning pathway that aligns with their personal interests and future career opportunities.
Students have the flexibility to choose from various track electives, gaining exposure to specialised domains of computing. The programme also supports Malaysia’s national digital transformation agenda, helping to build capabilities for the country as a regional hub for digital innovation and smart technology.

Areas of Research

Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Academic Senate; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to internal assessment to identify the appropriate prerequisite
courses that are equivalent to the candidate’s working experience in Computing or related fields; OR - A Bachelor’s Degree in a Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to passing appropriate prerequisite courses; OR
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the requirement of item i or ii; OR
- An APEL.A Certification at APEL T-7.
