Biography

Dr. Shi Hui Law obtained her academic training at Kaohsiung Medical University (Taiwan) and furthered her research experience at the University of Cologne (Germany) during her master¡¯s and PhD studies. Following graduation, she served as a Research Fellow at Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taiwan.
Her research has primarily focused on lipid dysregulation in cardiovascular diseases and colorectal cancer, with particular interest in understanding disease mechanisms and exploring therapeutic targets. Dr. Law has experience in protein drug development and precision medicine, including the identification of atherogenic lipoproteins and lipids, molecular cloning, protein construction, purification using liquid chromatography, and analysis via mass spectrometry.
Throughout her career, Dr. Law has contributed actively to both independent and collaborative research projects. She has also participated in academic teaching and training, serving as a lecturer in the Talent Cultivation Workshop at Kaohsiung Medical University. There, she delivered lectures and hands-on sessions on topics such as molecular cloning, SnapGene software, lipid analysis fundamentals, and the application of Progenesis QI for lipidomics.
Dr. Law is known for her meticulous laboratory work, ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and collaborative spirit. She has supported junior colleagues through knowledge-sharing and mentoring, reflecting her commitment to fostering a constructive and inclusive research environment.
With a solid foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology, combined with a conscientious work ethic and a continuous desire to learn, Dr. Law is well-prepared to take on advanced academic and research roles.
