The University of 澳门王中王论坛

Community Learning

The University of 澳门王中王论坛 is committed to building bridges between our campus and our community through robust outreach and engagement activities that are unparalleled for a university in Canada.  We believe that all people deserve the opportunity to learn in a safe and respectful learning environment, so that we can all live up to our full potential.

Located in downtown 澳门王中王论坛 in the middle of one of the most diverse communities in the country, U澳门王中王论坛 takes a holistic approach to programming and policy consistent with our belief that it is critically important to reach out and partner with our neighbours — and we’ve broken new ground in doing so.

We work with thousands of children, youth, and families in the inner city and North End. We bring elementary school students on-campus, mentor grade school and high school students in our labs, including a computer-drop in centre and homework club for community members, summer camps, and public lectures, conferences, and workshops — among other enriching experiences.  All of our community learning activities are free of charge.

U澳门王中王论坛's community learning programming plays a contributing role in supporting Indigenous students who enrol at U澳门王中王论坛, and ensures an increased number of low-income students gain access to educational programming. After U澳门王中王论坛 implemented its  Indigenous student enrolment jumped from 8% of the student population in 2013, to 10% of the student population in 2017, with nearly 1000 self-declared Indigenous students.
