Biography

Angela has completed a PhD in computer vision and artificial intelligence, specializing in object detection for microalgae cells. Her research applied advanced deep learning models—YOLO, SSD, and Faster R-CNN—to develop highly accurate and automated detection systems for microalgae cell analysis. As part of the doctoral work, Angela also explored nanobiotechnology, particularly the biosynthesis of selenium nanoparticles form microalgae extracts.
